    The guide dog for the blind may travel on all buses free of charge without any obligation, except for the reservation on services where it is required.

    Concessions

    DISCOUNTED CATEGORIES

    The following categories of persons entitled pursuant to art. 24, paragraph 4, of Regional Law 1 September 1997, n. 29, provided they are resident in Valle d’Aosta, may apply for the VdA Transports card for fare concessions on local public transport:

    • those decorated with gold and silver medals for military and civil valour;
    • persons with no sight due to absolute blindness or with visual residue not exceeding one tenth in both eyes with possible correction and their possible companions;
    • deaf-mutes and their possible companions;
    • the disabled, war invalids, civilian and work invalids, persons with disabilities, with legally recognised invalidity of at least eighty per cent, as well as their companions, if the right is recognised.
    • Fare reductions, up to free travel, according to the economic and income situation of the family unit (I.S.E.E.)
    • persons from the age of sixty-five years completed.
    University and post-graduate students

    The following persons may also obtain fare reductions or partial reimbursements of expenses, pursuant to art. 24, paragraphs 6, 6bis and 7 of Regional Law 1 September 1997, n. 29:

    students resident in Valle d’Aosta attending universities or university and post-graduate courses located outside Valle d’Aosta, provided that the journey is aimed at reaching the places of study or returning.
